A K-12 school in Modesto, CA, is seeking a dedicated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to support student needs in a collaborative, hybrid service model. This contract position spans from December 1 through the end of the school year.
The role involves providing on-site occupational therapy assistance three days per week, working closely alongside a virtual Occupational Therapist to deliver comprehensive support to students. This partnership ensures a balance of direct, in-person interventions paired with remote therapy guidance, optimizing outcomes for each student served.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver occupational therapy assistance on-site in a K-12 school environment.
- Collaborate daily with a virtual Occupational Therapist to implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Support students in achieving functional goals to enhance their academic performance and daily living skills.
- Document student progress accurately and communicate updates with the therapy team and school staff.
- Adapt interventions to meet diverse student needs across various developmental levels.
Qualifications/Experience
- Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) credential required.
- Previous experience in pediatric occupational therapy, particularly within school settings.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid service delivery model.

- Familiarity with K-12 student populations and educational regulations.
